The imperialist threat against Syria has escalated with the recent chemical weapons narrative. Or rather, having decided to step up their violent campaign against the people of Syria, the imperialist have fabricated the chemical weapons excuse for intervention.
There is not a single evidence that points to the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian Government. Even if we leave the Syrian Government declarations about the fact that they have been fighting armed terrorists gangs, not the people aside, the idea that the Syrian Government would use chemical weapons in an area where their own soldiers were present and at a time when they had the upper hand in the conflict is ludicrous.
The AKP government is leading the war-mongers…
One of the reasons the AKP government is beating the war-drums is because it itself is a war criminal. In case the Syrian people can manage to storm this two and a half year long attack against them, they will bring to table all the crimes of the AKP and others. Turkish PM Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Davutoğlu are terrified about this possibility.
The second reason is the following: Their only way to keep their rule and to cover up the pending economic and political crisis at home is to make war.
At this juncture, we are warning the AKP government;
Do not take any concrete step about the military intervention in Syria that you have been harping on.
In case you take that step, you will pay for it dearly… You would bitterly miss “Gezi” resistance days…
The Communist Party of Turkey knows very well the attitude of our people against the war against Syria. The people of Turkey will not send their children to join this war which causes the deaths of innocent people and Syrian patriots at the hands of foreign backed Islamic extremists. They will not fire a single bullet at their Syrian sisters and brothers.
The reason is simple, we have a much better choice than dying or killing: To topple the AKP. We have no doubt that to topple the AKP and kick USA out of the region to open the path for the unity of the peoples of the region will be the choice our people will make.
