Anti War and Anti-Fascist Strategies To Be Put on The Agenda!

The Green's Böll Foundation wants  Gender-Equality -  Women want Peace!  Women want their equal rights and needs to be respected.

Women are  not  to be fooled for long , they are capable to think in political terms, they can make their voices heard.

Almost one hundred years ago, professional women, advocats of the suffrage for women, assembled at the Hague and came  out strongly against  the worst enemy of humanity, which is war. Four years later  women met again in Zurich and founded WILPF = "Women's International League For Peace and Freedom". They wanted to join their efforts and to make women's voices heard against any new war preparations. They called for total and universal disarmament and for the transformation of their respective societies towards a more just social order. They thought this to be a pre-condition for preventing further wars.

In 2014 European  women met again in Berlin, they met the weekend before, 15 years ago, the first European war scenario started against former Jugoslavia. The Böll framework does not allow   commemorating the 78 days lasting bombardment of the former Balkan republic. War hysteria against Russia is at its hight. The Green party and their foundation will not condemn the ongoing war efforts.
The hysteria of the media, that blame Russia for what happened in the Ukraine and for  the war tensions in the air is heavily supported by the Böll Foundation at this moment.

The Böll Foundation's siege in the heart of Berlin is  situated right next to the Ukrainian embassy. The day before their gathering Joschka Fischer gave a talk and George Soros, too.

The "world leaders" represent  needs  completely contradictory to those of the majority of European women. Sonia Mitralia from Greece spoke at the Gunda Werner/Böll/ Wilpf conference about fascist tendencies in her country, connected to the neoliberal dictate of the EU Troika. She warned against the same wave that might  arrive sooner  or later in other European countries. But her warning went without much ado and without being discussed thoroughly, yet.

Anti war and anti-fascist strategies were not on the agenda.

Preparing for the hundredth anniversary of the oldest women's peace organization must go beyond fundraising activities.  The watchword is essential, the content counts. What are the funds to be used for? Who will be invited as keynote speakers for the Hague next year? What will it cost for members to participate? And under what title will the birthday party take place. All this has yet to be evaluated.
We must see to it, that it that we grass routes women define the agenda.
