World Peace Council Reaffirms Its Solidarity with Syria


   Damascus, Apr 30 (Prensa Latina) The World Peace Council expressed its solidarity with the Syrian people in their confrontation with armed opposition groups trying to overthrow the government, while rejecting any interference in the internal affairs of the country.

At a meeting Monday in the Turkish city of Istanbul, entitled Peace in Syria, the Council consisting of some 140 organizations from more than 80 countries, expressed opposition to the aggressive policies against Levante this nation.
