China pledges 10,000 tons of food support to Syria

At the conference, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced China will donate ten thousand tonnes of food to help ease the food shortages among Syria refugees. He also stressed the importance of political progress in resolving the Syrian crisis.
"We hope that this conference will see new efforts and contributions in achieving peace and stability in Syria, especially in resolving its current humanitarian crisis. At the G20 Antalya Summit last November, Chinese President Xi Jinping had called on the United Nations to hold high-level meetings regarding the refugee crisis," Wang Yi said.
