WILPF attended "Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer" - Anti-Russian Propaganda US Made Style Hailed as "Groundbreaking Film Work" - a Contribution to Peace ??

What a timely contribution to peace from a "Women's Peace Organization' in the year 2014, when we should be commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War I and the 75th of World War II. The oldest international Womens Peace Organisation with several Nobel Peace Prize winners, awarded when the prize was still honorable, should be out today, condemming new war threats again Russia. WILPF, whose full name is Women's International League for Peace and Freedom was founded during World War I in the Hague by women from waring countries. Their objective was to end the slaughter and to prevent further wars by helping to abolish its root cause which they knew, is grounded in the capitalist system. WILPF sisters made a strong pledge  in 1915 to educate their constituencies and to help enlighten brains, that have been washed by propaganda. Was the organisation highjacked before its Hundredth Anniversary?
How is it possible that its leadership nowadays buys into US-style propaganda made in high prized PR agencies? Do WILPF leaders of the day not know that under president Putin Russia helped to avoid another big war last september when the Syrian conflict was put back on the agenda of diplomacy? Do they not know how popular the Russian President is not only in his own country but abroad? Do WILPFERS really want to side with the neo NAZI style „putsch“ in the Ukraine and its cruel, violently, racist and even anti-semit methods and attitudes? What else do they believe is PUSSY RIOT there for? Can they not respect the feelings of great nation that provided the world with rich culture?

Read the below report on WILPF Website and make your own judgement and if possible protest.

PUSSY POWER IN GENEVA
Geneva is hosting the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH). A platform for discussion on human rights, dedicated this year to Ales Bialiatski of Belarus and Sombath Somphone of Laos.
The festival this year is to host some 40 films, spanning the genres of creative to fictional. On the 9th of March, WILPF attended Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer, a documentary detailing the arrest and prosecution of three members of the punk bank after their infamous performance in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
The event concluded with a panel discussion planned by FIFDH with Maria Alyokhina (Previously jailed member of Pussy Riot), Denis Bilunov (Russian Journalist) and Zoïa Svetova (Independent Journalist) moderated by Thérèse Obrecht Hodler (President of Reporters Without Borders Switzerland). Topics on the table for discussion stretched from the theme of the movie, to the current work of Maria Alyokhina after her release from prison in December 2013.
